About the Event

It is a great pleasure to announce the Science of Translation: Optimizing Animal Models for Neuropsychiatry conference taking place in Cologne, Germany, on October 14-15, 2017. Translational research is an effective application of the new knowledge, mechanisms, and techniques generated by advances in basic science research into new approaches for prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of disease. It ties all scientists and specialties together, granting a fantastic opportunity to share their views and expectations for the future. Using multidisciplinary approaches in designing preclinical projects optimizes their translation from bench to bedside. In order to be effective, especially in the field of neuropsychiatric disorders, strong, reliable and adequately characterized animal models are needed to pioneer new therapeutic strategies that can, in turn, be implemented in the clinic.
