Proteinopathies and Neurodegenerative Disorders (NDD): understand, monitor and treat
December 18th, 2017
to December 19th, 2017
About the Event
We are delighted to invite you to attend the inaugural symposium on Proteinopathies and Neurodegenerative Disorders (NDD): understand, monitor and treat that will be held at the Cité internationale universitaire de Paris on 18 & 19 December 2017. This conference is organized by the Tech Transfer Consortium (CVT) of the French National Alliance for Life and Health Sciences (Aviesan) in partnership with the Multi-Organization Thematic Institute Neurosciences, Cognitive Sciences, Neurology, Psychiatry (ITMO NNP), the research component of the National Neurodegenerative Diseases Plan (PMND) and the Alliance for Research and Innovation of Health Industries (ARIIS). Our goal is to bring together leading scientists, clinicians and companies interested in proteinopathies to discuss the latest discoveries and developments of its applications in neurodegenerative disorders.
This 2-days meeting will take place in the green surroundings of the Cité internationale universitaire de Paris. The first day will focus on the new insights in molecular mechanisms of proteinopathies in the brain and the second day on the new strategies to diagnose and treat its consequent neurodegenerative disorders.
The following topics will be discussed in dedicated sessions:
Molecular to animal models of proteinopathies in neurodegenerative disorders
Cellular and molecular responses to proteinopathies
Brain periphery perturbations in proteinopathies
Genetics, epigenetics & environment in proteinopathies
Clinic of proteinopathies and future challenges: comparing sporadic cases to inherited form
Misfolded proteins related biomarkers
New treatments for proteinopathies
The main goal of this symposium is to update the emerging scientific and medical aspects of this hot topic. It provides a unique opportunity to reinforce academic and industrial partnerships on "Proteinopathies and neurodegenerative disorders" field. The free BtoB sessions will allow you to meet your future partners (researchers, clinicians, TTO, companies) to initiate new deals and collaborations.
We look forward to seeing you in December 2017 in the beautiful city of Paris.
With our very best regards,
The Organizing Committee
Franck Lethimonnier, Director of the CVT Aviesan and of the Multi-Organization Thematic Institute Technology for health (ITMO TS)
Etienne Hirsch & Bernard Poulain, Directors of the Multi-Organization Thematic Institute Neurosciences, Cognitive Sciences, Neurology, Psychiatry (ITMO NNP)
Marc Bonneville, President of the Alliance for Research and Innovation of Health Industries (ARIIS) and Scientific and Medical Director at Institut Mérieux
