2018 Clinical Epilepsy Course for Junior Doctors

About the Event
It is a one-day teaching course where a number of distinguished speakers will lead sessions providing junior doctors with a comprehensive guide on how to manage patients with epilepsy. We have developed an interactive meeting with the aim to provide a high quality teaching experience, with the overall objective of improving epilepsy management in Britain.
We encourage junior doctors and students from different sectors to attend and learn the latest developments in epilepsy research, care and treatments for patients and for this reason the ILAE is offering a flat rate fee of £85.55 until the 15 November for junior doctors, medical and non-medical students.
The course is aimed at:
- - FY1 and FY2 junior doctors
- - Core trainees (CT 1/2) Specialist trainees (ST 1/2) and specialist registrars in fields such as neurology, psychiatry, neurosurgery, acute and emergency medicine.
- - GP trainees and general practitioners
- Other professionals are welcome to apply.
Topics that will be discussed include: diagnosis, first seizure / patient pathway, MRI & EEG, anti-epileptic drugs, epilepsy co-morbidities, epilepsy surgery, status epilepticus, non-epileptic attacks, women and pregnancy, epilepsy and driving and paediatrics.
