Description

A postdoctoral position in neural integration is available as a collaboration between the laboratories of Dr Lucy Palmer at The Florey Institute, Melbourne, Australia (www.palmerlaboratory.com) and Dr Tomas Ryan at Trinity College Dublin, Ireland (ryan-lab.org). The project will focus on understanding the cellular basis of neural integration with particular emphasis on how dendritic activity is altered during memory formation. We are looking for a highly motivated and talented candidate with experience in patch-clamp electrophysiology to be based 90% in Melbourne and 10% in Dublin. Further, the ideal candidate should have a strong neuroscience or quantitative science background with a proven publication record.
