Description

A NIH-funded postdoctoral position is open to study neuron-glia interaction and synaptic physiology in the laboratory of Dr. Jun Hee Kim in the Department of Physiology at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio (UTHSCSA, http://physiology.uthscsa.edu/faculty-profile/327).

We are seeking a highly motivated PhD or PhD candidate with research background in electrophysiology and neuroscience. We use patch-clamp recordings and imaging in rodent brain slices to investigate neuron-glia interaction in the CNS. The ability to measure electric responses from a single cell using whole-cell patch-clamp recording is required.

UTHSCSA is a Tier I Research Institution located in the northwest section of San Antonio. San Antonio is a vibrant multicultural city with much to offer, including an attractive cost-of-living.
