Deadline: 2 October 2017

The FENS History Committee organises annual calls for European History of Neuroscience Projects, to document the history and development of neuroscience in Europe.

The best projects are selected for support of up to €1,500 (a detailed budget is expected). The grants prioritise projects in which historic material such as films, photos, images or histological slides are presented on the web.

Projects should be completed within 1-2 years and are posted on a dedicated online platform.

To celebrate the upcoming 20th anniversary of FENS, this year's projects are highly encouraged to be focused on the founding fathers of Neuroscience in Europe or the key discoveries in European history which lead to the development of neuroscience as we know it today. In addition, each granted project will be asked to produce a poster for the History Corner at the FENS Forum 2018 in Berlin.
