Eligibility
The Cortical Scholar prize will be awarded to an outstanding predoctoral neuroscientist or one who has received the doctoral degree no later than 2 years prior to the closing date for nominations (August 15, 2019). The candidate should have conducted exemplary research on the cerebral cortex and/or its connections.

Requirements
Nominations of candidates for the Cortical Scholar Award should be submitted by e-mail and should include the following: (1) A letter of nomination. (2) A copy of the candidate¹s curriculum vitae that includes the date of receipt of the doctoral degree (or the anticipated date, in the case of predoctoral candidates). (3) PDF files of up to two publications of the candidate¹s research on the cerebral cortex and/or its connections. The candidate should be the primary author of these articles. Additional letters of support of the nomination are also welcome.
