About the Event

The Catania International Summer School of Neuroscience (CISSN-2019) is organized by Prof. Filippo Drago (CISSN Coordinator, University of Catania, Italy) and by Prof. Alessandro Serretti (CISSN Scientific Director, University of Bologna, Italy). The CISSN 2019 "Neurogenetics and Neurogenomics" will offer to 40 Ph.D. students, residency students and postdoc fellows a high level, intensive educational program carried out by an excellent international faculty. CISSN registration ( fee is 550 euros (covering 6 nights’ accommodation and meals, full access to 5 days course). A total of 10 travel grant (500 euros) will be awarded by CISSN organization. Italian students, young members of “Società Italiana di Farmacologia”, can apply to one of the 6 grant. CISSN 2019 - Topic "The recent impressive advances in the field of genetics is yielding promising perspectives for subjects affected by neurological and neuropsychiatric disorders but also challenges for researchers in the field. The CISSN-2019 will offer a wide range of presentations from cutting edge researchers working in basic and clinical aspects of neurological and neuropsychiatric disorders. Cellular models, brain imaging, human genetics, pharmacogenetics are some of the topics which will be covered with the aim of boosting research in understanding and treating individual patients, with the goal of overcome the current unmet medical needs in psychiatry and neurology."
