The Department of Fundamental Neurosciences studies brain development and connectivity at all levels, combining state-of-the-art molecular, cellular, imaging and behavioural techniques to explore pathways relevant for brain functions and dysfunctions.

The DNF provides outstanding research in neuroscience and academic environment and career opportunities for talented scientists conducting cutting edge, curiosity-driven, fundamental and clinical research.

Mission Job :

Develop an interdisciplinary research at the interface between brain development and behavioral neuroscience using cellular neurophysiological techniques combined with functional imaging and/or optogenetics and single-cell omics.
Provide leadership and objectives for an independent research group within the Department of Fundamental Neurosciences.
Obtain external funding and publish in relevant international scientific journals.
Communicate his/her scientific work at international conferences.
Participate in teaching activities for the bachelor and master degree in biology and medicine.
Significant core funding allows the Assistant Professor to undertake and establish ambitious research programs of high quality expected to be supported as well by external funds.

Desired Profile :PhD in Neuroscience.
Candidates using Drosophila and/or mouse genetic models are encouraged.A basic knowledge of French (or the ability to acquire it over the years) is essential for this position.
