We seek a highly motivated postdoc in the framework of an interuniversity project called “The journey of a memory: dynamics of learning and consolidation in maturation and ageing”, see

One of the responsibilities for the postdoc will be the co-supervision of a PhD student (starting Oct 2018), whose PhD project is called Synchrony and coupling in procedural and declarative memory tasks, involving both EEG and MEG data collection and analysis. The postdoc is expected to carry out empirical work him- or herself also, combining EEG, MEG, and possibly computational modeling. Expertise in at least EEG/MEG methods is thus required.

This is an interuniversity project involving collaboration between three institutions in Belgium; Ghent University (Tom Verguts, Nico Böhler), ULB (Xavier De Tiège), and KULeuven (Dante Mantini). The postdoc’s affiliation and work space will be at Ghent University but he/she will collaborate with the other institutions. MEG data collection will take place at the Erasme Hospital in Brussels (ULB).

This concerns a fulltime, two-year position, starting late 2018. Salary is according to standard Ghent University regulations for postdoctoral researchers.
