The Molecular Neurobiology research group at Lund University is currently seeking a creative and dedicated postdoc with a strong passion for research, to join our laboratory.

Our research group offers an opportunity to be in a friendly, collaborative, inspiring and dynamic environment.

Our lab explores the role of chaperones and co-chaperones in neurodegenerative diseases, in models ranging from in vitro, to cell culture and animal models. In particular, we are interested in the potential protective role of DNAJ proteins in models of Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s Disease.

We would be thrilled to be joined by a candidate who is genuinely excited to join a lab that focus on exploring molecular mechanisms in neurodegenerative diseases. The candidate we seek will be one of the main researchers to drive our animal model experiments. We prefer candidates who are focused, but at the same time are able to create a good social and working environment, with the other lab members and neighbouring research groups.

Candidates with a PhD in neuroscience and prior experience with mouse and rat models of neurodegenerative diseases will be preferred. Experience with AAV vira and stereotactic injections into rodent brains, will also be considered strong assets.

Eligible candidates must have obtained their PhD within the last three years. Moreover, eligible candidates must not have held positions at Lund University within the last two years.
