Virginia Tech invites applications for tenure track faculty positions in the School of Neuroscience at the assistant-, associate- or full-professor level, who will apply innovative approaches to all aspects of cellular, molecular and computational neuroscience and complement the expertise of the faculty members of the School of Neuroscience (
Doctorate required (Ph.D., M.D., MD/Ph.D., DVM) in a relevant discipline with post-doctoral experience at the time of appointment. Applicants must demonstrate a strong background in neuroscience-related research as evidenced by: (1) peer-reviewed publications and prior funding through individual federal or foundation support; (2) a vision to establish an independent research program with a high likelihood to be competitive for extramural grant support; (3) demonstrated experience with and commitment to interdisciplinary research; (4) vision, creativity, and leadership skills; (5) a willingness to cross disciplinary boundaries; and (6) a true desire to advise and teach a student body that is diverse with respect to socio-economic status, interests, and abilities.

Applicants must demonstrate a strong background in neuroscience related research as evidenced by peer-reviewed publications and attendance of scientific conferences and prior funding through individual federal or foundation support
