Postdoctoral position on magnetic resonance spectroscopy (MRS) in rodent behavior and psychopathology.

We are searching for a postdoc to work on the application of magnetic resonance spectroscopy/spectroscopic imaging in rodents. We aim to integrate cutting-edge MRS techniques in behavioral studies related to anxiety, motivation and cognition, as well as to nutritional interventions.

Applicants should have a PhD in physics, biomedical engineering, electrical engineering or related disciplines in neuroimaging. Excellent programming skills in C/C++ and MATLAB are required. Previous experience in MR sequence programming, data acquisition and processing is a plus. The candidate should have good communication skill and interest in neuroscientific research.

This research will constitute a collaboration between the laboratories of Prof. Carmen Sandi [Laboratory of Behavioral Genetics (] and Prof. Rolf Gruetter at the Center for Biomedical Imaging (CIBM) (, EPFL, in Lausanne, Switzerland. The Laboratory of Behavioral Genetics is embedded in the Brain Mind Institute (, a center dedicated to exploring higher brain functions across multiple levels, from gene expression to cognition and emotional processing.
