Description

Postdoctoral position on neuroscience and metabolism – Rodent studies.
We are searching for a postdoc to investigate the link between metabolism and neuronal function and behavior. Candidates with strong background in metabolism or in the dissection of circuit function in the context of behavior are also welcome.
More specifically, the ideal candidate should have a strong expertise in one or several of the following areas: brain metabolism; analyses of mitochondrial structure and function; molecular and epigenetic approaches; neural circuit characterization. Additional experience on behavioral studies in rodents would be an asset.
The qualified candidate should have a PhD and able to work independently and in collaboration. He/she must have excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as a strong publication track-record.
The research will be conducted at the Laboratory of Behavioral Genetics (http://lgc.epfl.ch/), Brain Mind Institute, EPFL, a center dedicated to exploring higher brain functions across multiple levels, from gene expression to cognition and emotional processing.
