Description

The Bortolato laboratory is seeking a highly motivated and energetic research technician to help investigate the potential therapeutic use of neurosteroid-related drugs, by using animal models of movement disorders and impulse-control problems. Duties will include behavioral monitoring of mice and rats, IP/SC injections, colony maintenance, genotyping and immunohistochemistry. Research in the Bortolato group is primarily focused on the characterization of the biological bases of neuropsychiatric disorders through the employment of behavioral and neurochemical approaches. The candidate will have access to a newly-renovated laboratory facility that encompasses a behavioral suite, surgical area and molecular space. Special emphasis will be given to candidates with experience in immunohistochemistry. A competitive salary and benefits package will be provided.
