The Aberdeen Spinal Injury Research Team, at the University of Aberdeen, is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Research Fellow to conduct preclinical research to promote spinal cord repair and function recoveries using novel combinational strategies.

The University of Aberdeen is the fifth-oldest in the English-speaking world and was named Scottish University of the Year in the Times and Sunday Good University Guide 2019.

This position is ideally suited for someone who has already carried out preclinical research related to spinal cord injury. We will consider candidates from different experiences (e.g. nearly finish of a PhD to mid-stage of postdoc).

A proven track record of 1st author publications from their PhD and/or postdoctoral work and show commitment to team work will be considered as an advantage. Experience in in vivo rodent model of spinal cord injury including surgery and behaviour is also an advantage.

Salary will be at the appropriate point on the Grade 6 scale (£32,548 - £36,613 per annum), with placement according to qualifications and experience. Informal enquiries are welcome and should be made to Dr Huang (
