A postdoctoral position is available in our research team at the Instituto de Neurociencias (UMH-CSIC) in Alicante, Spain.

Our research focuses on the transcriptional and epigenetic regulation of neuronal plasticity processes, including learning and memory, and its involvement on intellectual disability pathoetiology. To this end, our laboratory applies a multidisciplinary approach that combines molecular biology, mouse genetics, genomics behavioral analyses and electrophysiology.

We are currently looking for a highly motivated post-doctoral fellow with a proven track record of success and experience in molecular and cellular biology techniques, especially in the analysis of chromatin and gene expression and/or neurosciences. Experience in optogenetics will be also valuated. This experience must be supported by first-author publications in top scientific journals.

Funding is available for an initial period of 12 months, but the candidate should be eligible and willing to apply for a “Juan de la Cierva” contract co‐funded by the Spanish Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities (
