Duties and Responsibilities
Applications are invited for a Research Fellow to study the cellular and molecular mechanisms that regulate synapse degeneration in the mammalian nervous system. The project will be under the direction of Professor Patricia Salinas at UCL. The work will involve analyses of synaptic changes in vivo, in brain slices and cultured neurons using state-of-the-art imaging techniques combined with the latest molecular genetic methods and electrophysiology to determine changes in network connectivity.
Duties of the post include but are not limited to: develop, plan and undertake scientific research under supervision within a specific research project and work as a member of a research team and to design, develop, refine and analyse experiments in order to obtain reliable and publishable data.
