International PhD scholarships available at Western Sydney University in Sydney, Australia, ranked as one of the world’s top 100 universities under the age of 50 in the Times Higher Education rankings. Interested candidates with a background in neuroscience, biology, physiology, medical physics neuropharmacology or related areas are encouraged to apply. We are searching for highly motivated, excellent candidates who are willing to learn and get advanced scientific training while exploring Australia, to join our teams on the following projects in collaborative laboratories:

1)Targeting astrocyte-mediated mechanisms leading to neuronal toxicity in MND

Expertise in immunohistochemistry, stereology (MBF StereoInvestigator and NeuroLucida), confocal microscopy and behavioral testing methods will be beneficial.

4) Evaluation of curcumin preparations in the GFAP-Il6 mouse model
