The Department of Neurobiology in the School of Biology/Chemistry at the University of Osnabrueck invites applications for the position of a Research Assistant
(salary grade E13 TV-L, 50%) starting earliest in June 2019. The position is limited for a period of three years.

Your responsibilities:
• The work will be focused on the analysis of molecular mechanisms of neuronal degeneration during Alzheimer’s disease using microscopic imaging of mouse tissue (e.g., JBC 293:8065-8076; Neuropharmacology 113:434-44; Neuropharmacology 105:84-95)
• Collaboration in teaching in the current area of expertise
• The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work towards a PhD degree (Dr. rer. nat.)

Required qualifications:
• Candidates are required to hold a qualified university degree in biology or related subject

Desirable qualifications:
• high motivation
• knowledge about working with rodents
• a background or some experiences in primary cell culture
• being able to work in an international team
