Opening postdoctoral position for research on immune mechanisms in neuropsychiatric disease models during 2019-2022 in the Institute of Biomedicine and Translational Medicine and Department of Physiology, Faculty of Medicine, University of Tartu, Estonia.

Applications are invited for a full-time postdoctoral position for up to 3 years starting at the earliest on 01.10.2019, in a research group headed by Research Professor Li Tian. Our work focuses on immune regulation of brain development, behaviors and neuropsychiatric disorders using animal models and patient samples.

The candidate must possess a doctoral degree in the field of neuroscience or neuroimmunology. Qualified candidate is expected to be experienced with laboratory animal research and bioinformatics of various omics data handling, able to pursue independent research and fluent in English. Strong communication and management skills, as well as experiences and motivations in PhD student supervision are respected. Salary of the selected post-doc will be set on level 7 of the national salary scale for the teaching and research staff of the University of Tartu. A final contract will be made after a successful trial of up to 3 months of the candidate employee.
