PHD POSITION
COGNITIVE NEUROSCIENCE & NEUROIMAGING - - - - - FULL DETAILS: https://tinyurl.com/PhD-cognition-MRI - - - - - -
SUMMARY - - -
Aging is associated with a variable cognitive decline but what best predicts this cognitive decline remains to be elucidated. This research project aims at identifying markers of future cognitive decline in cognitive and brain measures, including MRI and PET imaging. Measures of sleep regulation will also be envisaged.
The project will be carried out in a multidisciplinary team developing methods for studying the human brain (MRI, PET), cognitive neuroscience and Alzheimer’s disease. Our centre collaborates with renown research centres of excellence across Europe in MRI (Leipzig, London, Maastricht,...) and aging (Caen, London,…).

- - - RESPONSIBILITIES - - -
You will be in charge of cognitive assessments and 3T MRI data acquisitions in healthy older individuals ( > 50 y). You will analyse data already available in the sample (MRI, PET, EEG, cognition) and relate them to current cognitive and brain status. You will work with other PhD students and postdocs but will have your own dedicated project. You will supervise MSc students. You will work in close cooperation with the neuroimaging application team and experts in cognition. The research will be supervised by Dr Fabienne Collette, in collaboration with Dr Gilles Vandewalle.
