Description

PhD project investigating stress, arousal and sleep.

Stress responses are controlled by hypothalamic corticotropin-releasing hormone (CRH) neurons. However, there is growing evidence that these neurons also control other aspects of behaviour. This PhD project will use in vivo calcium imaging, EEG and optogenetics to understand how these neurons regulate stress, arousal and sleep.
