Description

A post-doctoral position is available at the Laboratory of Cellular and Molecular Neurobiology of the IRCCS Mondino Foundation of Pavia for research activities on the pathogenesis and pathophysiology of Parkinson’s disease, with a focus on neuroinflammation and proteotoxicity and a growing interest in mitochondrial metabolism. The lab is also working on potential diagnostic and prognostic biomarkers in cells and biological fluids of patients with Parkinson’s disease. Candidates should have a degree in neurobiology, molecular biology or biotechnology, a strong background in pre-clinical research on neurodegenerative disorders and familiarity with in vivo and in vitro disease models. Previous experience in the analysis of mitochondrial metabolism and, specifically, with Seahorse technology will be particularly valued. Fluency in English and the ability to work in an international environment is requested. Candidates should submit their CV and at least one letters of recommendation. A 1-year contract, renewable based on performance verification, will be offered.
