Topic: Neurodevelopmental Diseases Pathology and Therapeutics
A position for a postdoctoral fellow is available for studies on neurodevelopmental diseases, in particular on leukodystrophy diseases; and on hypoxic effects in the CNS; including work on pathophysiology and therapeutics discovery in the Bonkowsky lab ( The experimental model systems include mouse, zebrafish, and human. Projects in gene therapy and small molecule development are part of the project.
Qualifications: PhD or MD/PhD. Strong background and experience in experimental sciences (such as molecular biology and/or biochemistry) is necessary. Prior experience in genetics, developmental biology, neuroscience, sequencing, programming, and imaging would be advantageous. Experience in animal models of disease strongly recommended.
Candidates should be ambitious and independent with good communication skills and team mentality; and at least one first-author publication in a well-respected journal.
