Kvitsiani lab at Aarhus University invites applicants at the bachelor and master level to apply for Ph.D. position at Aarhus University.

In our lab we perform electrophysiological recordings of single neurons from behaving mice in combination with optogenetic manipulations of genetically specified cell types. To make sense out of data we perform computational modelling of behavioral and electrophysiological data.

The successful candidate will participate in the analysis of large data set of electrophysiological recordings and optogenetic manipulations collected from behaving mice. The goal of the project is to understand how specific cortical cell types compute decision variables and serve behavioral functions. Therefore applicants are expected to have good quantitative and programming skills. Some experience and good motivation to work with animals and perform experiments will be plus.

At DANDRITE, we are international labs with a friendly atmosphere. The working language is English.
