The University of Virginia, Department of Pharmacology is seeking applications for a postdoctoral Research Associate. The successful candidate will carry out large-data high-throughput analysis of neural plasticity and circuits with approaches combining cutting-edge technologies, including rapid gene expression and replacement, multiple patch-clamp recordings, optogenetics and genetically-encoded sensor-based super-resolution imaging. Prior training in molecular biology, in vitro or in vivo electrophysiology and/or optic engineering is desired. Applicants with recent MD and/or PhD and publications in peer-reviewed journals will be considered. NIH postdoctoral salary standard adapted by the university supports a comfortable life in our low-cost college town.
