Description

The Theory of Neural Dynamics group led by Dr. Tatjana Tchumatchenko at the Max Planck Institute for Brain Research in Frankfurt is seeking highly motivated postdoctoral candidates to conduct original scientific research in computational neuroscience. The goal of the group is to develop models that help us understand the dynamics of large neuronal networks.

Applicants should hold an excellent PhD in Physics, Neuroscience,
Mathematics or a related discipline, as well as a scientific publication record. Furthermore, applicants should be enthusiastic about scientific research and have excellent mathematical skills, data-analysis skills. We are an international group. Therefore applicants should have very good English language skills, as well as excellent interpersonal skills and team spirit.

The initial working contract will be for one year with a possibility of extensions, the salary is according to the German wage agreement for public service (TVöD), which depends on qualifications and professional experience, as well as various fringe benefits in accordance with public service provisions.
