Description

The Department of Neurophysiology at the Medical Faculty of the Ruhr University Bochum, hosts a vibrant and talented team of neuroscientists from a variety of scientific backgrounds that implement multidisciplinary approaches to understanding the mechanisms underlying memory. A postdoctoral position is currently available for a candidate that has a strong background in the area of in vitro electrophysiology and/or rodent fMRI. The position will be funded at the level of E13 (german salary system). The candidate should develop new electrophysiological and imaging strategies for the observation of synaptic and cortical plasticity in various brain regions. Experience with Matlab and/or electrophysiological signal analysis is advantageous.
