Postdoctoral position in tissue clearing and light-sheet microscopy at University of Geneva

The Lamylab at University of Geneva is looking for a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow to develop an exciting project in close collaboration with the Wyss Center for Bio and Neuroengineering ( and the Geneva University Hospital.

The project will aim at mapping neuronal populations and molecular markers in the human brain using state of the art histological methods, tissue clearing and light sheet microscopy. It will entail a close interaction with a bioimage analyst towards the development of dedicated image processing pipelines and with the Advanced Lightsheet Imaging Center (ALICe,

The ideal candidate should have a Ph.D. degree in neuroscience, biomedicine, biology or a related field. Candidates should be self-motivated, well organized, and able to work independently and in collaboration. Expertise in neuroanatomy, immunohistology, in situ hybridization, modern fluorescence microscopy and image analysis are highly welcome.

The contract is for 1 year initially and can start at the earliest convenience of the chosen candidate, subject to obtaining a valid work permit.
