The Department of Neurology at the Faculty of Medicine, The University of Cologne, invites applications for a full-time
Junior Research Group Leader (f/m/x)
on the motor physiology underlying behavioral selection
and motor control,

We seek to appoint a candidate with a research interest in the physiology of motor circuits. The candidate is expected to use innovative in vivo methods (e. g. imaging, functional ultrasound, or electrophysiology).

This appointment is available for applicants holding a MD, MD / PhD, or PhD degree. The position is offered for five years with the possibility of a three years extension upon successful evaluation. Payment and social benefits follow the regulations of the German salary agreement for public service employees (TV-L NRW).

The position includes funding of a research associate (Post-Doc), a PhD student and / or a technician, soft money for consumables, as well as start-up financing.
