The student will combine pharmacological, chemogenetic and optogenetic manipulation of dedicated neuronal subpopulations.
Students with a degree in neuroscience, biology, or medicine are encouraged to apply (MSc or MD degree). Ideally, the applicant has basic experience with some of the following methods: Microscopy, optogenetics, molecular biology, cell culture or viral vector-mediated gene modification. Critical thinking, flexibility, strong work ethic, and ability to work both independently and in constructive groups are mandatory.
