Description

Post-doctoral position available on the development of methods for minimally-invasive remote control of brain receptors in the awake, behaving mouse. The project focuses on the optical manipulation of dopamine signaling and associated behaviors in mice living in groups, using near-infrared light. Our multidisciplinary project is funded by the Human Frontier Science Program Organization for three years, and involves a collaboration with chemist Graham Ellis-Davies at Mount Sinai School of Medicine, NY. Requirements are PhD in neuroscience or related discipline, with expertise in animal surgery, electrophysiology, optogenetics and mouse behavior desirable.
