Postdoc position in the Centre of Reconstructive Neuroscience

Project description: Study of alterations of the extracellular matrix and neural plasticity in the central nervous system during pathological conditions.

The successful applicant should have an education in biochemistry, biology or medical science and have a good proficiency in English. Experience with molecular biology, biochemistry, animal work and surgery, is advantageous. The successful applicant will also have excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills and be highly-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of the international team of NeuroRecon Centre.

Terms and place of employment:
This position is available at the Institute of Experimental Medicine of the CAS, v.v.i.) in Prague, Czech Republic. The successful candidates will be part of the EU funded Centre of Reconstructive Neuroscience (NeuroRecon) research program. The Centre hosts an international collaborative research program between Institute of Experimental Medicine (Prague, CR) - John van Geest Centre for Brain Repair (University of Cambridge) - Faculty of Biological Sciences (University of Leeds). The position is available immediately as an initial fixed-term contract untill the end of the project in 10/2022, with longer-term extension possible upon demonstrated proficiency.
