Description

One postdoctoral fellowship is available immediately in the Neurodevelopment and Neurodegeneration group. Our aims are to generate in vitro cellular and brain organoid models of human lysosomal storage disorders with neurological affectation. With these models, we will investigate molecular and cellular disease mechanisms in different cell types, identify new therapeutic targets and develop potential therapies to treat patients suffering from these
devastating disorders.

The fellowship is for two years with possibility for extension. We are looking for a highly motivated candidate with good teamwork skills who wants to be part of building a strong research group. Candidates with a solid background in molecular and cellular biology are
encouraged to apply. The ideal candidate should have experience working with stem cells, reprogramming and neural differentiation, molecular biology, genome editing, immunochemistry and viral vector-based transgene expression. Previous experience on brain
organoids and calcium imaging recordings and analysis are meriting.

Interested candidates should have obtained their PhDs no earlier than 3 years before the position starts. To apply, send a letter of motivation together with a CV, a list of publications and the
contacts of three references.
