The Department of Neurophysiology, Institute of Physiology of the Eberhard Karls University Tuebingen (Garaschuk lab)

is looking for a talented and motivated fellow (at the PhD or postdoctoral level) to fill a new position focusing on the contribution of the cortical and hippocampal neuro-glial networks to memory processing during sleep. This is a collaborative project between several CIN (https://www.cin.uni-tuebingen.de/) labs and is embedded into a prospective DFG Research Unit. Our lab has a strong background in in vivo analyses of neuro-glial signaling and is characterized by a friendly, collaborative attitude. The position can be filled at the postdoctoral or PhD student level depending on the best available candidates. Preference will be given to candidates with a background in neuroscience, molecular biology, in vivo imaging, mathematics/computational neuroscience.
