Applications are invited for a Research Technician to work in the laboratory of Dr Adil Khan (khanlab.net), in the Centre of Developmental Neurobiology at King’s College London.
The successful candidate will undertake original and state of the art biomedical research as an integral member of a group studying cognitive behaviour in mice. Projects will include studying the role of sensory cortex and/or prefrontal cortex in task-switching behaviour in mice, to understand neural circuit mechanisms underlying flexible behaviours. The successful candidate will also provide flexible logistical, technical and organisational support to other group members in the laboratory.
Applicants should have an MSc in Neuroscience/Biological Sciences and have a background working in neuroscience, preferably including mouse husbandry, stereotaxic surgeries, perfusions, immunostaining and animal behaviour. Candidates should be motivated, a team-player and be able to manage a complex work load.
This post will be offered on a fixed-term contract for 1 year (extendable).
This is a full-time post - 100% full time equivalent.
