The Neuroplasticity and Rhythms group at the University of Lübeck is seeking a highly motivated candidate for a part time position within a DFG funded project, for up to 3 years, starting earliest April 2021 (65% E13). The project is focussed on electrophysiological processes during the consolidation of motor memory in the neocortex and striatum in mice during sleep.
Ideally, candidates should be highly experienced working with freely moving and head fixed-animals for multi-unit electrophysiology, including surgery, electrode preparation, recording and analyses. We are looking for a highly motivated candidate, able to work independently, and have a strong interest in neuroscience. Students with a degree in neuroscience, biology or medicine are encouraged to apply. We gladly consider also students of engineering, computer science or physics with a corresponding experimental background.

For greater independent activity, German language skills are beneficial
