The ‘Functional Diversity of Neural Circuits Lab’ led by Sabine Krabbe at the DZNE in Bonn, Germany is looking for a postdoctoral researcher to work on a project investigating how dysfunction of neural circuits contributes to early psychiatric and cognitive symptoms in Parkinson’s disease. The project will combine cutting-edge circuit neuroscience approaches such as in vivo deep-brain calcium imaging in behaving mice with opto- and pharmacogenetics, anatomical tracings as well as molecular and histological techniques.

The successful candidate will work independently on their project, but interact closely with the PI and collaborate with other team members. Experience with in vivo functional imaging/electrophysiology techniques and good data analysis and programming skills are required. The position is available from June 2021 and initially for 2 years.
