The FENS 2020 Virtual Forum in figures

The FENS 2020 Virtual Forum took place on 11-15 July 2020 and brought together more than 5,000 participants, 472 speakers and 58 exhibitors. Registered delegates can now benefit from the 3-month extended access, until 15 October 2020.

The FENS 2020 Virtual Forum took place on 11-15 July 2020 and brought together more than 5,000 participants, 472 speakers and 58 exhibitors.

Registered delegates can now benefit from the 3-month extended access, until 15 October 2020.  

The FENS 2020 Virtual Forum features:

  • 132 scientific sessions
  • 20 plenary and special lectures
  • 56 symposia
  • 38 ‘Open Theatre’ sessions
  • nearly 150 live & live Q&A sessions.

The platform hosts close to 2,800 posters across seven-themed sessions. During the live Forum (11-15 July), there were a total of 52,000 poster views.

The 58 exhibitors and sponsors received 28,000+ visits. 

The format and the various grant programmes, including the new ALBA-FKNE-YIBRO Diversity Grants, allowed an increased access to the Forum. 88 countries in total were represented at the FENS 2020 Virtual Forum, against 75 countries for the FENS Forum 2018.

Dear colleague,

On behalf of the Federation of European Neuroscience Societies (FENS), we wish to thank you for participating in the FENS 2020 Virtual Forum.

This year’s Forum brought together more than 5,000 attendees from 88 countries for a new virtual community experience. Offering more than 100 pre-recorded and live sessions, close to 2,800 posters across seven themed sessions, 58 exhibiting companies and numerous opportunities for exchange, the FENS 2020 Virtual Forum united the international neuroscience community at a critical time. Your participation was of great importance to us all, and we would like to thank you sincerely for your contributions and support.

We hope that you have enjoyed and benefitted from this year’s Virtual Forum and would be very grateful if you could provide us with your feedback about your Virtual Forum experience by responding to our evaluation survey. The process will only take a few minutes of your time and will assist our continued effort to ensure the highest standards at the next FENS Forum.
