IBRO seeks an experienced association executive or experienced executive scientist ot serve as its next Executive Director. Over the past several months, IBRO has taken advantage of an executive leadership transition to conduct a top-to-bottom review of its strategy, governance, operations, and staffing. This envisioned future includes a collaborative and productive business model, greater accountability, enhanced customer service, and passionate, and evidence-based communications to advance IBRO’s mission.
Ideally, the new Executive Director will have experience in leading a scientific organization, have knowledge of current trends and issues facing life sciences, and understand the legislative process and public policy. The Executive Director must understand the needs of diverse and multidisciplinary audiences and possess a high-level of cultural competence.
The Executive Director, along with IBRO’s offices and staff are located in Paris, France. The position closes October 31, 2020.

The International Brain Research Organization (IBRO) is a nonprofit membership society representing more than 90 neuroscience scientific organizations with combined memberships of more than 80,000 biological and biomedical scientists. IBRO is a leader in global resources for the neuroscience community, advocating for enhanced research funding, improving the neuroscience research environment, and providing services to its member societies and neuroscientists worldwide. Services include educational programs, sponsored fellowships, advocacy initiatives, and internationally coordinated scientific meetings. IBRO has an annual operating budget of approximately 3 million Euros, and approximately 25 million Euros in reserves.
