Slots in NENS Courses in 2016

In partnership with IBRO-PERC, FENS has launched this initiative to support MSc and PhD neuroscience students - European and non-European - to broaden their knowledge and acquire international experience by participating in short courses organised by the NENS schools.

 
The FENS and IBRO-PERC stipends of 750 EUR each are intended to cover travel and accomodation costs for master of PhD students (European and non-European) interested to attend short courses outside the country where they are studying or residing.

 

Awarded NENS schools courses and students in 2016:

 

 

  • ELECTRAIN 2016 - Extended Methods Course in Electrophysiology (Göttingen, Germany, 9-20 May 2016): Göttingen Graduate School for Neurosciences, Biophysics and Molecular Biosciences (GGNB), Göttingen, Germany.
  • The FENS and IBRO-PERC stipend awardees for the ELECTRAIN 2016 course are:
  •          - Mario Carvalho (PhD student, Portugal)
  •          - Nikola Habek (PhD student, Croatia)
  •          - Nataliia Martyniuk (PhD student, Ukraine)
  •          - Maria Neginskaya (PhD student, Russia)
    • Cellular Immunology in the Central Nervous System and its Role in Brain Diseases (Helsinki, Finland, 23-27 May 2016): Doctoral Program Brain and Mind, University of Helsinki, Finland.

      • The FENS and IBRO-PERC stipend awardees for the Cellular Immunology in the Central Nervous System and its Role in Brain Diseases are:

      • Transylvanian Experimental Neuroscience Summer School - TENSS (Pike Lake, Romania, 1-19 June 2016): International Neuroscience Doctoral Programme, Champalimaud Neuroscience Programme, Lisbon, Portugal.
      • * The amount for each of the IBRO-PERC stipends to attend TENSS is of 500 EUR, while the registration fee is fully waived for the 4 selected awardees.

      •           - Kacper Kondrakiewicz (PhD student, Poland)

      • Summer School on Cognitive Neuroscience (Helsinki, Finland, 11-17 August 2016): Doctoral Program Brain and Mind, University of Helsinki, Finland.
      • The FENS and IBRO-PERC stipend awardees for the Summer School for Cognitive Neuroscience in  2016 course are:
      •           - Stine Derdau Sorensen (PhD student, Denmark)

NENS exchange grants available

The NENS exchange grants of up to 3.000 EUR are meant for MSc and PhD students registered within NENS member schools or programmes. Applicants are expected to spend a period of one to three months at a NENS member school of their choice in a different European country for the purpose of methodological training.
