One postdoctoral fellow/research associate position is available to study the mechanisms underlying the neurobiological consequences of Covid-19, with the ultimate aim of identifying molecular targets to treat the neurological symptoms of SARS-CoV-2 infection (termed “Neurocovid”)

Candidates who have previous experience with primary neuronal cultures and/or iPSC are encouraged to apply. It is expected that the candidate should have a PhD in Neuroscience or a related discipline (Biochemistry/Cell Biology/Genetics).

The position is up to 36 months and is supported by Euregio IPN170 “The molecular biology of Neurocovid”. Salary is commensurate with experience.

The Laboratory of Biology of Synapse investigates cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying the pathogenesis of neurodegenerative and neurological disorders. CIBIO was founded in 2007 as a research Centre of the University of Trento on the premises of strategic local funding in the province with the higher investment in R&I in Italy. Is began a Department of University on 2018 and is now a cutting-edge and top-ranked academic institute in biomedicine and biotechnology. CIBIO has recently grown to 40 Research Laboratories headed by successful and independent Principal Investigators. The Department is at the top of rankings for quality of the research among National academic institutes in the area of Biological Sciences.
