Hosting offer MSCA-Postdoctoral Fellowship (PF) 2023 in computational approaches for preclinical neuroimaging

Position: Post-doctoral Position

Deadline: 15 June 2023

City: Antwerp

Country: Belgium

Institution: University of Antwerp

The Bio-Imaging Lab, the Molecular Imaging Center Antwerp, and imec-Visionlab of the µNEURO Research Centre of Excellence (University of Antwerp, Belgium) jointly welcome expressions of interest from postdoctoral researchers with a strong scientific track record to jointly prepare a high-quality proposal for an MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowship 2023 in the field of computational approaches for preclinical neuroimaging.

The Bio-Imaging Lab,  the Molecular Imaging Center Antwerp and imec-Visionlab house a large state-of-the-art preclinical infrastructure platform focused on neuroimaging, consisting of 4 high‐field MRI systems (9,4T, two 7T, and 4.7T) with dedicated RF coils, 2 microPET/CT systems, 1 microSPECT/PET/CT, and 2 X-ray scanners, including a unique phase contrast X-ray scanner. Our ongoing mission is to bridge the gap between newly developed MRI/PET/SPECT/CT/X-Ray techniques (acquisition and processing) and their applicability towards in vivo neuroimaging to study plasticity, neurodegeneration, and circuit modulation.

For this MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships (MSCA PF) call, we are seeking postdoctoral candidates with strong interest in applying novel computational approaches for the analysis of multimodal preclinical neuroimaging datasets.

The Horizon Europe MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships (MSCA PF) are postdoctoral fellowships for experienced researchers looking to give their career a boost by working abroad. The grant provides a living allowance to cover your salary costs and has a duration of 12-24 months (European Fellowships) or 24-36 months (Global Fellowships). In addition to the living allowance, you will receive a mobility allowance and – if applicable – a family allowance. The deadline for submission of a full research proposal, written jointly with your future supervisor, is 13 September 2023.
