Description:

For the academic year 2023-24, a National PhD program in “Theoretical and Applied Neuroscience” has been launched, involving 24 universities and research institutions in Italy. This consortium, led by the University of Camerino, aims to offer a comprehensive training program in neuroscience. The program is supported by a minimum of 39 scholarships enabling research in various fields of neuroscience.  The fellowships are distributed among partner universities and research centers across the country. Four different curricula have been established: 1) Cognitive and Behavioral Neuroscience; 2) Neuroscience and Humanities; 3) Preclinical Clinical and Translational Neuroscience;  4) Computational and System Neuroscience.

The mission of the National PhD program in “Theoretical and Applied Neuroscience” is to equip doctoral students with the scientific methodologies necessary for integrated neuroscience studies. This includes areas such as molecular and cellular neurobiology, computational neuroscience, cognitive neuroscience, preclinical and clinical research, diagnostic techniques, rehabilitative neurorobotics, and the investigation of the mind-body-brain relationship.
