The position is offered for a period of 2 years initially, if no former times of qualification must be considered. The starting date is as soon as possible. Salary and benefits offered
commensurate to a public service position in the state Hesse, Germany (TV-H E 13). Responsibilities include scientific research in the fields of cellular and molecular neuroscience or cell biology, and teaching duties in medical physiology. The focus of your research will be on one or more of the following areas: cellular physiology of auditory hair cells, regulation and structure-function analysis of ion channels and transporters, phosphoinositide signaling.

This is a temporary qualification position for the acquisition of further scientific competences (e.g. preparation for a subsequent qualification phase). Within the scope of the assigned tasks, the possibility of independent scientific work is offered, which serves the own scientific qualification. This refers to independent project planning, the acquisition of primary research data as well as their further use for the preparation of scientific publications. The fixed term is in accordance with § 2 Para. 2 WissZeitVG. Qualification requirements include a PhD and/or MD in biology, human biology, biochemistry pharmacy, medicine or related areas. Passion for science, dedication, integrity, good problem solving and interpersonal skills are critical. Profound knowledge in one or ideally more of the following techniques is expected: Fluorescence microscopy (live-cell imaging, confocal, TIRF, FRET, etc.), electrophysiology (patch clamp), cell biology, or molecular biology.
