Research group “Neuronal circuits and Behavior” (PI: Prof. Dr. Tatiana Korotkova) at the Institute for Physiology, Faculty of Medicine, University Clinic/University of Cologne, Germany, looks for two motivated postdocs (f/m/d) with a strong interest in physiology and behavioral functions of neuronal circuits. We employ optogenetics, electrophysiology and calcium imaging in behaving mice to study dynamics of hypothalamic neuronal circuits and their functions in innate behaviors, including feeding and locomotion (Jais et al., Neuron 2020; Carus-Cadavieco et al., Nature 2017, Herrera et al., Nat.Neuro., 2016; Bender et al., Nat.Comm., 2015), our projects are funded by ERC Consolidator Grant and the DFG (CECAD, SFB1451, SFB1089).
Successful candidates should have a PhD in neurosciences or related disciplines. Highly beneficial will be experience in data analysis, in vivo electrophysiology or in vivo calcium imaging.
