The Haubensak Laboratory is seeking enthusiastic postdocs interested in pioneering novel multidisciplinary approaches towards understanding the brain .
Emotions are a central part of our mental self, shaping perception, memories, and behaviors. We use circuit neuroscience and behavioral genetics to understand how neuronal circuits process affective information. In your project, you will explore how limbic networks assign affective value to environmental stimuli  and how genes modulate this process to program behavioral traits . You will acquire fundamental knowledge in state-of-the art neuroscientific workflows, linking behavioral genetics to systems neuroscience .
Ideally, you should have an academic education in natural-, computer science or medicine and hold a MD or PhD with specialization in neuroscience or bioinformatics. You should share our interest in circuit imaging and/or behavioral genetics. It would be great to welcome you as independent and communicative member of our team, with enthusiasm to become an active member in shaping our interactive environment and workflows in interdisciplinary neuroscience.
Expected starting date: as of January 2023, for up to six years.
The gross salary is 4,061 Euro brutto (14x year), flexible pending professional experience.
