Travel grants for the FENS Regional Meeting (FRM)
Status: Open
Deadline: 28 Feb 2025
Funding body: FENS
FENS is offering travel grants for early career researchers to attend the FENS Regional Meeting 2025. Organised by the Norwegian Neuroscience Society (NNS) and Nordic Neuroscience with the support of FENS, the FRM 2025 will take place in person on 16-19 June 2025 in Oslo, Norway.
The FRM 2025 travel grants amount to a maximum of EUR 750 depending on the proximity to the event location.
The criteria for selection are the following:
- Applicant must be a FENS member
- Applicant must be a PhD student or a postdoctoral fellow maximum 8 years post PhD at the initial nomination deadline, excluding any periods of parental or (documented) health-related leave
- Participation in the meeting onsite and presenting a poster with an abstract as first author
You are not eligible to apply if:
- You are residing or working in Norway
- You received a travel grant or stipend for another FENS meeting taking place in 2025 or for SfN 2025. If you are selected for an FRM 2025 travel grant you will also not be eligible to receive a travel grant or stipend for another FENS meeting taking place in 2025 or for SfN 2025.
Please note the travel grant application is separate from the registration and abstract submission process of the FRM. Submitting a travel grant application does not mean your abstract is submitted to the FRM, or that you are registered. Even if you receive a travel grant, you will still have to pay your registration fee. For further support with your registration and abstract submission, please refer to the website of the FRM and contact the FRM secretariat directly in case of issues.
Deadline for application: 28 February 2025, 23:59 CEST
Important:
- The winner must present themselves personally at the FENS booth during the FRM 2025.
- The travel grant will be paid by bank transfer after the FRM 2025.
- Other methods of transfer (cash, Paypal, etc) are not possible.
- If the awardee does not personally come to the FRM (illness, not obtaining a visa, etc.), the travel grant will not be awarded and cannot be transferred to another person, even if they are presenting the same abstract.
