Travel grants for the FENS Regional Meeting (FRM)

FENS is offering travel grants for early career researchers to attend the FENS Regional Meeting 2023. Organised by the Portuguese Society for Neuroscience with the support of FENS, the FRM 2023 will take place in person on 3-5 May 2023 in Algarve, Portugal.

The FRM 2023 travel grants amount to a maximum of EUR 750 depending on the proximity to the event location.

The criteria for selection are the following:

  • FENS member
  • Must be a PhD student or a postdoctoral fellow maximum 8 years post PhD at the initial nomination deadline (28 February 2023), excluding any periods of parental or (documented) health-related leave
  • Participation in the meeting with an abstract as first author

You are not eligible to apply if:

  • You are residing or working in Portugal
  • You received a travel grant or stipend for another FENS meeting taking place in 2023, the IBRO World Congress 2023 or SfN 2023. If you are selected for an FRM 2023 travel grant you will also not be eligible to receive a travel grant or stipend for another FENS meeting taking place in 2023, the IBRO World Congress 2023 or SfN 2023.

Deadline for application: 6 March 2023

Deadline for submission of recommendation letters: 8 March 2023. We highly recommend you contact your referees before you submit your application and request that they prepare and send their letters before this date.

The grant will be transferred to your bank account after you present yourself personally at the FENS booth during the FRM 2023.
