Advocacy strategy

FENS works with world-leading organisations to raise public awareness about the importance of brain research and continued support in order to contribute to crucial scientific and health-related developments around the world.

Advocacy in Europe

Find upcoming events, working opportunities, stakeholder consultations at the EU level and legislative developments that have an impact on neuroscience.

Global Engagement Initiative

As a member of the Global Engagement Initiative, FENS identifies appropriate advocacy tools, develops best practices, shares experiences, reviews the problems faced in different regions and pinpoint ways of better advocating.

The responsible use of animal research

FENS supports the responsible use of animals in neuroscience research. Advised by the CARE Committee, FENS develops resources on animals in research and promotes public education in matters related to the use of animals in neuroscience.

Inclusive neuroscience

FENS was created to bring together the neuroscience community in Europe and beyond.  FENS is actively committed to promote equity and diversity in brain research, notably through the ALBA Network.
